I should, therefore, be clear again, this is a completely new, from the ground up, remaster. In truth, at that time the game was brought onto par with the PS3’s graphical capabilities, however, lacked the polished to really wow fans of the series. In 2011, Shadow of the Colossus was re-released with HD upscaling bundled with the also excellent Ico. One of the major stand out features for the title was just how gorgeous it was. Coming towards the end of the consoles life cycle and just a year before the PS3, it was the swansong for the console.
When Shadow of the Colossus released for the PS2 in 2005, it was a graphical masterpiece.
